My Journey leading to Pilates
I want to share a bit about my journey, because I know many of you might be where I once was—feeling stuck in your body, dealing with chronic pain, struggling with weight, and wondering if things could ever be different. For me, that reality was all too familiar. I had two back surgeries and was facing the possibility of a third when I was introduced to Pilates. Honestly, I had no idea how much it would change my life.
When I started Pilates, something inside me shifted. I felt stronger, more vibrant, and more confident in my own body than I ever had before. Not only did my body begin to change, but my whole perspective on life did too. I started to feel like I could finally move freely and without pain. It was like a weight had been lifted, both physically and emotionally. I never thought I could feel this good in my adult life, but here I was, stronger, happier, and ready to embrace life again.
That’s when I realized—this is something I needed to share with others. I became a certified Pilates instructor because I knew there were so many people out there who, like me, were looking for a way to reconnect with their bodies, feel good again, and get back to the life they deserve.
What I do now is more than just teaching Pilates—it’s about helping people reclaim their lives, move with confidence, and heal in both body and mind. I truly believe that every body is different, and that’s why every session I offer is personalized to meet you where you are. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, dealing with pain, or simply want to feel stronger, I’m here to guide you through it.
And as a little extra piece of who I am, I’m Puerto Rican and I love cooking! I’m all about creating healthy, flavorful meals that not only nourish my body but also bring joy to the table. Even though I’m passionate about healthy food, I can’t resist making my favorite Mexican comfort dishes. And don’t get me started on dancing! Afrobeat music is my jam, and I love infusing that energy into my Pilates sessions to make them feel lively and fun.
